Geography
At St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery, we believe that Geography inspires children to develop a curiosity and fascination about the world and their place within it. Through our Geography curriculum, children develop an understanding of the diverse places, people, environments and physical processes that shape our world. We encourage our pupils to become thoughtful, knowledgeable and responsible citizens who recognise that local communities are connected to the wider world.
Our Geography curriculum is carefully sequenced to build progressively from children’s experiences of their immediate surroundings in the Early Years to a deeper understanding of the physical and human geography of the United Kingdom and the wider world by the end of Key Stage 2.
