I just wanted to send you all a note to say Thank You. Thank you for your support, not only the past few weeks at this time of uncertainty, but throughout the whole of the academic year. I have been truly blessed to be the teacher for these 28 fantastic children and couldn't be prouder of them. Seeing them flourish and grow as the year has passed has been wonderful and I am hopeful that we will be reunited as a class. At the moment, we are unsure what will happen and how things will change but no matter what, I am only an email away to help your children while we are online learning and I will always be their Year 5 teacher. 

All the information of the home learning will be posted on the home learning tab on the website and instructions will be posted on SeeSaw and Google Classroom. Thank you for helping facilitate this.

Year 5 learning!

This term we are learning all about Space. Quite frankly, our learning is 'Out of This World'. Recently we have been researching Tim Peake and finding all about his journey into Space. So far, I have seen some AMAZING homework projects and I am blown away with the effort! This theme will still be continued at home through our home learning we have now adopted. Thank you to all of you for supporting the children with this learning at home.

Designing our pyramids. Firstly, we made a design for our mini pyramids made from spaghetti and marshmallows. We also used sugar cubes to help secure them. Once we completed these, we evaluated them and made changes. After this, with our junk modelling, we made a class pyramid to ensure that it was standing alone and unaided. This helped us with our Teamwork. We then helped out the environment by recycling all the materials we used.

Tuesday 8th October 2019.

I have spoken to the children about our DT lesson in a couple of weeks (22nd October) I ask that children can bring in 'junk modelling' recycling products. This can include: milk cartons/ bottles, juice cartons, Pringles tubes, cereal boxes, kitchen roll insides etc. Thank you in advance for you help with this.
