Zoo Lab Visit

The children in Reception took part in a build your own dinosaur workshop meeting lots of different creatures. We learnt all about the different features of a dinosaur and how they relate to animals today. Our favourite was Tabitha the tree frog

Christmas Crafts Stay and Play Session

The children and staff in Nursery and Reception have loved welcoming parents in school this morning for a Christmas Crafts stay and play session. We had lots of fun and made some beautiful decorations. 

Trip to Sudbury Hall 

The children ih Reception had a fantastic day at Sudbury Hall. The staff were so proud to see the children listen to carefully and learn so much in the museum. There was so much to see. We even got to try going up the chimney like a chimney sweeper. We all agreed that we would prefer to come to school than do that job. We also loved to play in the outside play area. It was so much fun.

Talk Through a Story

Designed by Ruth Miskin, Talk Through Stories extends and deepens children’s comprehension and vocabulary. High quality texts are used to give the children a love for reading and understanding of a range of vocabulary. This week we have been looking at The Giant Jam Sandwich. The children have loved it and even managed to make their own jam sandwich while using ambitious vocabulary from the story.
