Painsley MAC Mission Statement

Through our Catholic faith

we grow in the love of God and each other:

we show respect in our words and action;

we serve our communities and the world;

we learn to be the best we can be;

becoming better together as children of God.

A welcome message from our interim Headteacher Mrs Williams.

With effect from 7th November 2018, I commenced my duties and responsibilities as the interim Headteacher of St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery. I am delighted to be asked to lead the team of dedicated professionals that undertake their roles as either a member of the teaching or non-teaching staff of our school.

Over the course of the coming months I am looking forward to getting to know each one of the children who attend St Patrick’s really well and support each of the children as they engage in and enjoy their learning journeys.

As the Headteacher of St Patrick’s School and Nursery I recognise and appreciate the commitment that as parents you have given to the school by requesting that your child became one of our pupils. I look forward to working with parents and Governors to make St Patrick’s the best school that it can be for each of the children who are entrusted to our care.

For any prospective parents who are accessing our school website for the first time, thank you for showing an interest in learning more about our school.

We are always happy to welcome prospective parents to our school.  Please do telephone the school office administrators, on 01785 413275 to make an appointment to visit us and see our school at work.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to St Patrick’s School.  In the meantime until we meet I hope that you will enjoy exploring our website to find out a little more about us.

Quotes from our most recent Ofsted report (January 2019):

'The school clearly proclaims the values that guide its mission. These values, which derive from Catholic virtues and include respect, truth, love and service, are

exemplified by staff in what they say and do. During their time at school, pupils learn how these values can steer and comfort them in their lives and help them to grow into compassionate and responsible members of society.'

'St Patrick’s Catholic Primary is a very welcoming school where staff go out of their way to let pupils know they are valued. Pupils are encouraged to do their best, help others and to seek help when they need it. They know that adults will always have time to talk with them about their interests and to listen to any worries they might have.'

'The behaviour of pupils is good. Their conduct in lessons and when moving around the school is calm and orderly.'

'Good leadership is the driving factor behind the judgement of good early years provision. This inspection found that clear-sighted leadership and mostly effective teaching mean that children are happy and safe at school.'

'Staff maintain good communication with parents. There are many opportunities for them to come into school to talk with staff and find out how their children are getting on. These positive relationships and flow of information between home and school help parents to support their children’s learning at home.'

With Christ at the centre of our school, we offer a caring and safe environment where your child will feel happy, secure, respected and valued in their own right.  Together with you, we will work to enable your child to reach their full potential, developing their faith, skills and confidence.

Here at St Patrick's we Love, Learn and Respect each other and work together to be the best we can.
