As a class, we've all thoroughly enjoyed our topic of allotments, this Autumn term.
At the start of the term we visited a local allotment!
Then, using this as our stimulus, we produced excellent, non-chronological reports about amazing allotments and how to use them.
After planning where we might place our own allotments and writting about them, we fixed our sights on hosting a farmers' market.
We began by writting letters to important people around our community. The children chose their own recipients and they wrote lovely letters to a multitude of people within our community. (Some even went to the Queen!)
Finally, we started to plan and desing our very own farmers' market. This was to celebrate our entire project and to show everyone just how hard year five have been working.
Thanks to a multitude of donations and endless effort from the children, the market was an outstanding success!
