Year 2

Welcome to Year 2 with
Miss Vaz and Mrs Fisher

Welcome to Year 2!

I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas holiday and are ready for lots of exciting learning in the new year ahead! Last term the children all made great progress in all areas of the curriculum and we are particularly proud of their incredibly hard work which enabled us to put on a fantastic Christmas production, "Lights, Camel, Action".

This term we will be starting our new topic "Island Homes" as well as continuing to develop our excellent writing and maths skills.

I know we are going to have a super half-term of learning, so let the fun commence...

Routines:

Homework is handed out on a Friday and due in on a Wednesday.

The children have PE on a Wednesday and Thursday so please ensure that their PE kit is in school on that day. Also please ensure that earrings are removed.

Reading books will be changed when your child's diary has been signed. We have moved away from set change days as we are now trying to hear every child read a page each day.

Reading with your child at home is essential so please try and read as much as possible, even if it is just for 5 minutes!

Mrs Fisher & Miss Clarke will teach the children every Thursday morning.

Celebration Assembly is every OTHER Friday at 9am.
