Miss Johnson and Miss McMullin
Welcome to Year 2!
Well, what an amazing term we are having. The children are thoroughly enjoying our exciting new learning project Land Ahoy! We began with our engage day, we all dressed up as pirates and enjoyed lots of fun pirate-themed activities during the day. We would like to say a huge thank you to the parents and carers for supporting their children in their recent homework. We have seen some fabulous pieces of homework coming through the doors, from huge boats to fantastic research. Thank you! We look forward to our class boat race at the end of the topic.
Please read below to find out what else we will be getting up to next term. Let the fun commence...
English: Messages in a Bottle from Captain James Cook.

Homework projects are sent out at the beginning of a half term and we expect one piece of homework to be handed in on every Wednesday.

The children have PE on a Tuesday and Thursday so please ensure that their PE kit is in school on that day. Please ensure that earrings are removed.
Reading books are changed as and when needed.
Reading with your child at home everyday is essential so please try and read as much as possible, even if it is just for 5 minutes!
